PAXMAN SERIES 3 F/Bb FULL DOUBLE HORN

Paxman ceased production of the acclaimed Series 2 double horn some 20 years ago. Since when we have frequently been asked if we planned to introduce another such instrument, designed to bridge the gap between beginners’ horns and the professional level. Finally we are able to do this, and the Series 3 enables intermediate and advanced students to enjoy many of the familiar characteristics of a Paxman instrument at an advantageous price.

The Series 3 is a Geyer-style wrap, in which Paxman have been able to incorporate many of the distinctive playing qualities of our professional models. The bell is medium large, the optimum for this type of horn, and is made in yellow brass for a free-blowing and open sounding horn, while the proportions of the left hand position and valves are designed to suit the younger player, making it easier to hold for long practice sessions.

It is supplied lacquered, with a back-pack style case.
