Holton 378 Full Double Horn

In the early 1980's, Paxman decided to use their expertise to build a Natural horn. The instrument that Bob Paxman used as his inspiration was a Raoux, possibly the most famous of the old French instruments. With a few modifications, he came up with a design that proved highly successful and much sought after by professional and amateur players alike. The very first of these instruments was bought by Michael Thompson, who had the inside of the bell silver plated and the rest of the body lacquered. Mike has owned this instrument to the present day but has now decided to sell it through Paxman. It is available for inspection in the showroom in London.

This hand horn plays superbly, is in excellent condition and all the crooks have been fitted with new receivers. This is a rare chance to buy an instrument that is not only still very much in demand, but a small piece of history with an excellent pedigree.
